Troubleshooting and Solutions for LED Point Source Lights (Part 2)

Fault Three: After the lights are connected to the controller, the effects change, but the lights flicker frequently, while the controller's indicator light appears normal.

Solution:
(1) The ground wire between the controller and the lights is not connected.
(2) The power voltage to the lights is insufficient.
(3) The effects programmed on the SD card are incorrect, or the chosen LED chip for the effect does not match the actual LED chip in the lights.
(4) The distance from the controller to the first light is too far (distance > 10 meters), causing an unstable signal transmission.

Fault Four: After being powered on, the controller and some lights work normally at the front, but subsequent lights show abnormalities starting from a certain light.

Solution: Generally, this issue is because the subsequent lights cannot properly receive the signal, due to:
(1) Faulty individual light ICs or damaged signal wires before and after a light. Usually, replacing the first non-functioning light or the light before it is sufficient.
(2) During programming, if the written number of light sources is less than the actual (for example, 9000 lights used but only 8000 are programmed), there would be no animation effects for the remaining lights. In this case, you need to contact the manufacturer to rewrite the program.

Fault Five: After being powered on, the controller works normally, but the positioning of the lights changes abnormally, different from the designed video images.

Solution: This issue is due to the installation order of the lights being inconsistent with the designed wiring diagram. The installation order and positioning of the lights need to be adjusted according to the designed wiring diagram, or the actual arrangement and connections of the installed lights need to be reprogrammed into the computer.

Fault Six: After powering on, point source lights can be normally changed, but some display colors different from other point sources.

Solution: Generally, this is because one of the R, G, B chips in the LED bead is damaged, leading to missing colors in the display. Simply replace the defective point source.

Fault Seven: Unable to format the SD card when copying the program?

Solution:
(1) First, ensure that the protection switch on the side of the SD card is unlocked, with the unlock direction towards the end of the SD card.
(2) If the protection lock is already opened as required but formatting is still impossible, this is mostly due to a faulty SD card reader. Please replace the SD card reader.
(3) If the above operations still cannot solve the formatting issue, replace the SD card and test again.
