Installation of LED Underwater Lights

03-16 16:10

LED underwater lights are submersible lights manufactured using LED technology. Compared with traditional underwater lights LED underwater lights are more energy-efficient and versatile, with a stronger decorative appeal. They are widely used in various landscape lighting systems. However, particular attention needs to be paid to certain aspects when installing LED underwater lights.

1. LED underwater lights should be powered by a DC constant current source. Under the control of the constant current source, the forward voltage drop of LED wall wash lights, LED underwater lights, and LED buried lights decreases as the temperature of the LED chip increases, which has little impact on the LED underwater lights. However, if it is driven by constant voltage, the current through the LED underwater light chip will increase as the temperature rises, which in severe cases may even burn out the LED underwater light. Therefore, LED underwater lights should be powered by a DC constant current source. 2. Antistatic measures should be taken. During the processing, production, and installation of LED underwater light products, certain antistatic measures should be implemented. For example, workbenches should be grounded, and workers should wear antistatic clothing, antistatic wrist straps, and antistatic gloves. If possible, install an antistatic ion fan, and maintain air humidity around 65% during installation to prevent the air from being too dry and generating static electricity. In addition, LED products of different quality levels have varying antistatic capabilities, with higher-grade LED underwater lights possessing stronger antistatic abilities. 3. Pay attention to the sealing of LED products. No matter the type of LED lighting product, if used outdoors, it faces the issue of moisture-proof sealing, especially for LED underwater lights. Improper sealing will directly affect the lifespan of LED underwater light products.
