Wiring of LED Line Lights

03-01 16:29

Many friends are involved in the outdoor installation of LED line lights and might wonder how to connect the power after the LED line lights are electrified. Below Lumider  Lighting will reveal the wiring method for both ends of the LED line lights.

1. Side Wiring Method for Connecting the Ends of LED Line Lights:

Choose one side from the aluminum edges at either end of the Line light and punch a hole about the size of the wire diameter. The waterproof connection is made from this hole to the circuit board and then passes through from the aluminum side. The advantage of this installation is its seamless connection, no dark zones in lighting efficacy, and ease of installation. However, this method does not facilitate hiding power and signal cables; the wires can only be exposed externally. From a closer perspective, visible wiring might not be as aesthetically pleasing for the entire building.

2. Connecting Method Using Plugs and Sockets at Both Ends of the LED Line:

A socket hole is opened in the middle of the plug piece at both ends of the LED Line light. This socket for plugging in the LED outdoor waterproof Line lights and hiding the wires at the bottom or side differs from a side socket. During the docking installation process, there will be about a 1-centimeter gap between lights. In practical applications for lighting projects, a 1CM gap does not significantly impact the overall lighting efficacy because the light is scattered and can compensate for any lack of light on its own. Plug and socket connections cannot be seamlessly connected and are slightly less aesthetically pleasing than bottom sockets. This can be applied to the concealed grooves and glass curtain walls of various buildings, offering the advantage of easy installation.

3. Wiring Method for the Aluminum Bottom Outlet at Both Ends of the LED Line Lights:

The bottom outlet involves creating a gap at both ends of the aluminum profile of the Line light and using a threaded head with a tail clip to clamp the tail at the aluminum gap, then screwing on a plug. The LED Line lights with bottom outlets, aside from seamless embedding, also allow for the hiding of the docking and power wires beneath the lights, as the casing of the bottom outlet lights is H-shaped. Hiding the cables below facilitates neat installation, making the bottom sockets more attractive to architecture. This model is now a more popular choice among customers!

General Tips on Calculating the Wiring Distance for LED Line Lights:** Lumider Lighting reminds everyone that calculating the wiring distance for this type of LED Line light is quite straightforward.

1. If two Line lights are installed side by side without any gap, the wiring distance can be calculated as the length that the male and female connectors can connect during docking installation.

2. If there is a gap between the installation distances of the Line lights, the installation distance between the two Line lights needs to be measured. The LED Line light manufacturer will customize the wiring length according to the user's requirements.
